Thai 7-Elevens
I’ve always thought of 7-Eleven stores as quintessentially American but they are everywhere in Thailand. In fact there are more than 10,000 of them in the country, most of which are in Bangkok. Our Bangkok hotel was within easy walking distance of at least 10 of them. Continue reading

Saigon food market
Today we’ve been to a drive through food market in Ho Chi Minh City. Plenty of opportunity for filming because I felt a still photo doesn’t do this place justice. Be warned: several animals will be dismembered in this short clip.
Vespa adventure
Last night we went on a food tour of Hoi An on the back of scooters with Vespa Adventures. It was a lot of fun although weaving through the traffic was a bit hair-raising. I found it best to look into the shops and restaurants we passed rather than ahead at the frenetic onslaught of cars, motorbikes and bicycles. Continue reading
